Syntax-Brillian Olevia 747i

Calibration Notes

Lighting Modes adjust the LCD backlight level. The Dark Room setting produced the darkest blacks. Whites were nicely extended with the Contrast control in default position; going even a few clicks above this point caused clipping. Set's high-frequency response was superb via HDMI, with hardly any rolloff apparent at 37MHz; component response was solid to 18.75MHz, but noticeably rolled off at 37 MHz. User controls were extremely close to ideal right out of the box. Just lower Brightness a single click, select the Dark Room Lighting Mode, and drop the Sharpness level all the way down, and you're in business.
