I received a note from the distributor of the digital version of HiFi + a couple of days ago announcing the availability of issue 81. I sent an e-mail saying thanks but that I had downloaded it August 11. On enjoythemusic.com the announcement of issue 82 was posted August 24. As such I sent an email requesting when will 82 be available for download. I keep getting a response that 81 is available and that the issue is closed. I responded that I am not asking about issue 81 but issue 82.
I'm considering resubscribing to the electronic version of HiFi+. How long after the print version of the magazine becomes available in the UK does the electronic version become available?
Hi.
The last magazine was published in February. The 72 is for April/May, today it is 7/6 and the magazine is not out to the subscribers yet, at least not in Scandinavia. What is happening with Hifi +? Will you still publish 8 issues in 2010?
Great mag by the way!

I've only been able to find a single review mentioning the Lindemann 855 dual mono amplifier in Hi-Fi & Records 01/2008, Does anyone have any experience with this amp they can share?
As audiophile I’m acutely aware that audio retailers are the crucial link for high end audio to succeed. Unfortunately it’s becoming increasingly difficult to audition high end audio equipment in all but the largest metropolitan areas. So I’m profoundly confused why audio retailers are not aggressively trying to convert perspective clients to the audiophile ranks. The audio industry appears to be transfixed on a small group of older males with financial assets, trying to get them to continually upgrade their audio equipment.
I had been subscribing to the electronic editions of HiFi+ via newsstand.com and very much enjoyed reading the magazine. When my newsstand subscription expired and I complained of two missing issues newsstand graciously refunded me for the error, and to my surprise told me HiFi+ had canceled their service. After writing to HiFi+ about the missing issues they graciously mailed me issues 67 and 68 and informed me they had switched the electronic subscription provider to NextNewsStand.com.
Anybody notice how HiFi+ is becoming HiFi-? A bigger page size and new layout are fine and dandy, but I noticed a 30% cut in the number of equipment reviews and about the same cut in music reviews. And that trend seems to be continuing. The latest Awards issue has a pathetic 9 music reviews and none of the feature articles the old mag used to have. It looks like the format change has been used to disguise some radical dieting. HiFi+, your ribs are showing.
I subscribed to the electronic edition of HiFi+ for the first time in October 2008 and I do enjoy the magazine. The October 2009 HiFi+ subscription renewal charge via Newsstand was just applied to my credit card. For the 12 months ending September 2009 I only received 6 electronic editions of HiFi+, the last month being July 2009. Shouldn’t I have received 8 editions for my initial subscription?
