Hi there!
my name is Renato and I'm an MSc student at City University London. For our Interaction Design class coursework we have to design a separate that is supposed to connect wirelessly to other devices and play music in streaming.
As it's gonna be meant for an audiophile audience, I need some help from someone who sees himself as an audiophile, has an hi-fi system, and who can give some precious insight to guide our design.
I have the Sony RCD-W2000ES connected to the Lexicon RV 8 via analog and coax digital. Which would be best for stereo music, Monitor Audio S 8. Thank you in advance.
Time for a silly question. Since I have rebuilt my listening room, my set sounds like a million bucks. When we discuss rooms and acoustics it is alway about how the room interferes with the music. However....I have not tried this....but if I imagine my stereo outside, I think it will sound like eh...you know...manure. Mmm... it seems I have two sitly questions. Is this true (about the outside being a bad acoustical place for high end) and what does a room do well in order that we can enjoy our music so much?
Hello,
new to this forum. Wondering whether anyone has thoughts of how the new Maggie 1.7 would serve as surround speakers to Martin Logan (front speakers). My dealer thought it was not a good idea. Appreciate any comments/thoughts.

I want to share my impressions on a great DIY device which optimises the sound in the listening room. It's called The Brodule and has been invented by Audiophile Apiguide, a French audiophile. It's simple and cheap to make (€40) and produces extraordinary results. To me, the Brodule is one of the best DIY audio tweaks of all times as far as room optimisation is concerned. It will change your listening experience.

So... this is right up there in terms of systems he has heard yet according to all the setup rules (relative to the posted photos), the speakers are tucked into the corners (bad bad bad)... and there is lots of mastering equipments racks between the listener and the speakers (bad bad bad).
Hello,
I am setting up a 2-Channel Hi Fi in my bedroom. Unfortunately my bedroom is square, which is worst case scenario from a sonic standpoint. I would love to hear from anyone on which direction I should take when positioning my loudspeakers to achieve the highest sonic quality in a square room (roughly 11x11 ft.). Thanks for your time. Zach.
Most of the outlets in my music room , though dedicated, are 15 amp outlets. I just called the electrician to re-wire them to be 20 amp outlets.
May I ask, for those who've done this, if there is an audible improvement, especially if you have current hungry amps drawing power from, say, a Quantum Q-base outlet (or any outlet for that matter)? And what are the dangers (if any) of having 20 amp outlets? I remember, when originally asking for them, the electrician mentioned something 'bout the danger of fire, but I was unclear on that concept and it was many years ago.
