TAS lists these 5 power conditioners in their latest Editor's Choice Awards:
1) PS Audio Power Plant Premier
2) Audience aR2T/aR6T/aR12T
3) Running Springs Audio Dmitri
4) Synergistic Research Powercell 10SE
5) Shunyata V-ray II
This new generation of power conditioners is superior to previous efforts (and I've had many) in that they do not exact tradeoffs in sonic performance to lower the noise floor.  I would love to gather the experience of this forum on these watershed products.

Hello,
I am wondering how these two brands compare against each other for similar products. Specifically, I am curious to learn what conclusions the professional reviewers have after auditioning both brands and various models within each brand. Has anyone ever done a head to head / A-B listening comparison for like items ? If yes, what were the results ?

Does anyone have any experience with the Goldmund power conditioners? They have a Sweeter and an AC Curator?Wondering how they compared to an Audience ar2p-t?

I have sets of Discovery 1.2.3 speaker cable, Discovery PS power cable, and unmarked but presumably Discovery orange colored interconnects.  All are some 20 years old, well made, well shielded, and heavy.  I plan to continue to use them but have little to compare them with.  Does anyone know anything about the company and/or the cable?

I'm in need of a SOTA power conditioner and was all set to order the Dmitri based on RH's review.  Now I understand that Running Springs has a better unit, the Maxim, albeit with only 4 outlets.

My system includes the Mark Levinson No.383 integrated amplifier, Esoteric X-05 SACD/CD player, and Dynaudio Confidence C1 speakers. Thus I only need 2 outlets now and perhaps 3 if I add an Esoteric Master Clock.

Some day we will be able to have a real discussion about the effects or lack thereof for the various cables we use to hook our system up. Unfortunately all the attempts I have seen so far have consisted of both sides digging trenches and lobbing grenades at each other.  I am 52 and have been a serious music lover for over 40 years.  My equipment choices have progressed from whatever Mom and Dad had to what is now a mix of entry and mid level high end'ish equipment. Most of it well reviewed and some just passed over by the audio press.

Hi!

I'm considering adding an Esoteric Master Clock to my Esoteric X-05 based on Robert Harley's descriptions of the significant  (!) improvements one can expect by doing so.  Question: since the music signal never flows through the BNC coax cable that connects the Master Clock to the SACD/CD player, is there any basis to expect that an aftermarket cable will better the freebie in the box?  After all, my experience with MIT's interconnects and speaker cables have been quite positive.

Who's tried this? I have one on the way and wonder if anyone else has heard it. Positive Feedback thought it stunning, as did Stereo Times.
Since the "everything-makes-a-difference" mantra arrived many years ago, it seems the one thing that hasn't been reviewed is the actual outlets themselves. And then there's the BIG question: does an outlet have a "break-in period"?

Anyone have any experience comparing these three contenders for SOTA power conditioners?
