In his review of the great Inspiration Turntable (and Air Tight cartridge), RH said the combination was the most "musically rewarding source (he's heard) in 22 years of reviewing".

I believe RH completely - but it seems a little strange to hear this after he praised Hi-Rez files (via the Berkeley Dac) as having "many qualities of a mike feed".  Maybe RH can clarify the difference between the Soolos-Meridian 808.3 (CD system), Hi-Rez and the Inspiration. The three best sources he's heard.

I've had three copies of  The Red Hot Chili Peppers Stadium Arcadium and haven't been able to listen to any of them with out loud pops. It sounds as if there are grooves running in the wrong direction. I chalked it up to bad pressings but asked the retailer to play the last copy before they sent it. They reported it sounded "fantastic" but I still have the same problem.

Hi all.
If you think you seen it all, meet the top of the line REED 3Q series tonearm with laser VTA guided mechanism:

Reed 3Q tonearm working principle

Laser-adjusted tonearm operation is based on a level principle and helps to determine when tonearm mounting surface is parallel to the headshell (cartridge mounting) surface.

Jonathan, On indentifying the V2 and Statement by physical appearance:
Does the statement have an infinity etching to the left of the serial number?
The weight of the statement vs V2?
Have you been listening to 47K all along on the statement or have you come off somewhat?
Thanks,
Geronimo

As you prepare to purchase SME 20/12 with  SME V 12 with great discount . I was wondering if you have heard and perceived differences with the SME 30 / 2 to move the balance towards the latter model
thanks
