I'm looking for speakers for my BAT VK55 modded with V-Caps. I'm looking for soundstage, imaging, dynamics, neutrality, speed -  everything that matters for listening to classical music. The $4000 cap does not mean I want speakers exactly for $4000, It's because I'm looking at Living Voice Auditorium and Focal/JMLab Elektra 1007 Be, but I will gladly settle for less if I like it. I have a subwoofer (Fathom 112) so bass-shy speakers are ok. The room volume is approximately 3600 cu. ft. (20x20x9) Any opinions?

I have owed a pair of Spendor SP-1s since the mid 1980's.  I love their midrange, midrange, midrange.  I am considering changing.  I want an enhanced low end, and more holographic soundstaging.  Any suggestions?  I am driving them with a PrimaLuna Dialogue II Integrated amp.  Source is a Qsonix Q 110 music server through a Benchmark Media DAC 1.  My budget for new speakers would be around $4,000  USD.  I like buying used equipment.  I would LOVE to hear REG's opinion.
Thanks,
Richard

Hi,
I have a pair of Watt/Puppy 3 that need an overhaul. The dealer I bought them from said it will cost $3000 - $3500. Is it worth it?
Am I better off spending a similar amount on new speakers?
My system is ML 380 / 23.5 & various sources (Linn, ML, Squeezebox)
Thanks

Hello, I'll be auditioning these three next week although at different dealers. I'll be listening to the Thiel CS3.7 driven by Parasound JC2 pre/JC1 power amps at one dealer.

As for the Wilson Sasha and the SF Amati Anniversario, it'll be a head-to-head comparison done at another dealer. They will be driven by ARC Ref pre/power amps.

Hi, I'm new here so please bear with me. I'm really not a technical wizard or up to date on the latest equipment.

To all forum members:
We had a wonderful event in Colorado this past Saturday evening, for members of the Colorado Audio Society.
At the event the attendees were given an opportunity to hear the newest speaker from YG Acoustics, the Carmel (we are the exclusive YG Acoustics dealer in Colorado).  The new Carmel sells for $18,000.  During the event we were also given the opportunity to compare the Carmel to a very highly regarded speaker that sells for $27,000, the Magico V3.

Help!!!!  I have a pair of Crosby modified ESL 63s.  The speakers are 22 years old, and in dire need of a rebuild.  Quads Unlimited and Electrostatic Solutions rebuild the speakers using remanufactured panels.  It appears that QS and D rebuilds the speakers using new panels, (although I am not sure.)   They list the cost of a rebuild of ESL 63s  at $4,000, (ouch!!!)  Rebuilds from Electrostatic Solutions and Quads Unlimited appear to be at about $2,400.   What is the best route for me to take re: fixing my speakers.
