If control, pumping rhythms and sharp attention to fine detail is what you are looking for then this amplifier will not disappoint. Not as even-handed as the ECC-1 it is not quite such an astonishing bargain, especially given the quality of the competition (not least from Electrocompaniet themselves). But, as a combination there is something special about this pairing and the sum of their musical performance easily outweighs that of the individual parts, making their arrival a very welcome return indeed.
