Only a designer of Bob Carver’s stature could get such a small system to produce such a big, dramatic, high-impact sound. Though the Sunfire Cinema Ribbon system’s omnidirectional presentation might appeal to some listeners more than others (it’s a very different sound from that of traditional forward-firing systems), it definitely works for me and is something I would encourage prospective buyers to sample— if only to see if omnidirectional sound “clicks” for them. If you like the idea of an ingenious and beautifully made, compact surround system that produces huge, refined soundstages that seamlessly envelope the listener, then put this one on your “must hear” list.
