Conclusion

The Sanyo’s enclosure is well-designed, and the set should withstand even the harshest rainstorm’s effects. From a picture quality standpoint, the Sanyo is unremarkable, and the poor deinterlacing is typical of a commercial display. Compared to better-performing consumer LCD sets, which shouldn’t be used outdoors of course, it comes up short. But, for its intended purpose as an all-weather outdoor TV, the rugged enclosure design and bright picture are well suited to the task.
