The user interface is outstanding—a vital aspect of a satellite television system, in my view. A good remote control and user interface make the difference between finding, recording, and accessing programs you want quickly and easily, and being constantly frustrated. The remote is particularly well-laid-out, enabling complete control (with a touch of the thumb) over commonly used buttons. In addition, the remote works when pointed in any direction and at any angle. Two remote controls are provided, one for the main system and one for a second television. The remote control for the second television controls the ViP®722 through walls via UHF frequencies (one of two UHF frequencies can be selected to avoid conflicts with other remotes). Both remotes can be programmed to control up to three other components in your system. Finally, DISH Network periodically improves software by downloading it into your ViP®722 via satellite.
It all adds up to one extremely compelling and rewarding package that is the reference standard in pay television.
The ViP722 HD DVR and DISH Network programming are the best solution on the market for enjoying high-def content.
