An added benefit of this headphone technology is that you older enthusiasts who may have stood too close to the speakers at live concerts “back in the day” may be able to rediscover some of the sonic subtleties of music that are no longer the province of unaided listening. The Philips HD1500 demonstrates ably the plusses to be had with Dolby Headphones technology. Considering what you get, the $315 price doesn’t seem, well, unseemly, and the addition of wireless capability is a welcome bonus.
