I'm just wondering how you believe the TritonCinema Two system stacks up against the Def Tech Mythos ST or STS systems on a sonic level without thinking of the cost factor. I have a pair of ST's that I love in a two channel set up. I'm considering building a 5.1 home theater around the ST's with the matching Mythos Ten and Gem XL's. However, I might be able to sell or trade the ST's and go for the whole GoldenEar TritonCinema Two set up. I did have an opportunity for a brief listen to the Triton Two's vs. ST's while out of town on business. Locally, I do not have the same opportunity. I am extremely impressed with the Triton Two's although the ST's have their strengths as well. My initial impressions was that the ST's played a little louder at same amp levels and had more pronounced vocal reproduction. I'm wondering if this is due to the size difference of the mid/bass drivers. (ST has 5.25" vs 4.5" on the Triton Twos) The Triton Twos were better at capturing the accuracy and every nuance of musical instruments which I found to be extremely pleasing to my ear. Had I not already purchased the ST's, I wouldn't have this dilema. In the end, money does matter to me as I have a budget to uphold. I'm just thinking that the ST's are $4K for the pair brand new and I can possibly get enough selling them to put me in reasonble reach of the Golden Ear system. I still love the ST's, I just think the GoldenEars are a little easier on my ears. Any comments or thoughts?
