Without a digital input, remote control, or iPod dock, the Audioengine A5 system doesn’t quite live up to its fullest potential, though it certainly makes a fine desktop rig. But there are very few, if any, speakers in this price range that can match the Audioengines’ sound quality, and that alone is enough reason to give them a hard look and listen.
