Anthem MRX 700 A/V Receiver (TPV 103)

But Is It A ‘Real’ Anthem? Yes.

Only two things hold this AVR back. First, it is missing a handful of audiophile-friendly features (multichannel analog inputs, DSD bitstream decoding) that I would frankly expect to see in a receiver of this stature. Second, its powerful ARC room EQ system performs superbly, but is not as easy to use as some other systems on the market. If these issues could be resolved, the MRX 700 would go from being a “good” choice to a great one.

Enjoyed the review of the Anthem MRX 700. I've owned one since early Feb. 2011. I have yet to read a review that uses the Multi Media input. I use this input with a HDD containing over 10,000 songs mostly for background music when reading or relaxing. Have had problems with this input even with firmware updates and tech support help. You just mentioned the Internet radio no comments about its performance. Shouldn't a complete review of a piece of equipment touch these sources?
I agree with all the you said in your review. It is the best sound I've had in my listening/surround sound room. Watching poor TV channels is a joy with the 700 the picture improvement is excellent. Watching a DVD or Blu-ray with a great sound track and picture is amazing, you feel like you're in the movie.
