The Anthem 2 is a hybrid unit, using 2 Sovtek 6922 tubes in the input stage and a solid state output stage. The tubes impart a full, sweet midrange, and lush harmonics. The solid state output stage provides superior speaker control for better bass and transient response. With its 1/4" brushed silver aluminum faceplate and pounded black body, the Integrated 2 looks classy. The top of the front panel contains, from left to right, three large knobs: an input selector for four line level inputs, a balance control, and a volume control. Under these knobs are the secondary controls and a green LED indicating power status and mute. The Anthem 2 provides connections for a surround sound processor, a tape/epl-source, and headphones. The unit may also be switched into mono. The Anthem 2 also comes equipped with a small remote control that handles volume, muting and surround sound processing.
