With a resolution of 1366x768, this 40-inch LCD panel presents an elegant visage with a gloss-black frame. Among the features of this set touted by Samsung is a contrast ratio of 5000:1, though in our view this hurts the picture more than it helps it. It?s a bit pricey for a 40-inch display, especially with some 50-inch plasmas going for a third less, but if it?s intended for a room without good light control, it might be just what you?re looking for.
