Many elements of the SR systems augur well for an all-digital future, even as the system itself demonstrates that we are not quite there yet. The SR evinces artifcats - discontinuous dynamic shifts, curtailed note decay - that are unquestionably digital in nature. While analog signals are subject to noise, interference, and degredation, digital signlas are apparently subject to different forms of the same thing. Even so, the Goldmund has already demonstrated that such systems are capable of very good sound, and that they can incorporate with analog sources with surprising impunity.
The review covers the entire SR system, including SRDVD DVD player, SR8 multichannel preamp, Mini Logos Active speakers, and Logos Sub subwoofer.
