Powerful but not overbearing, the CA-5200 doesn’t have a dramatic personality that immediately conjures up tubes or transistors. There is some vestigial warmth in the mids, but a steady hand controls the bass frequencies, lending the amp a terrific sense of musical pace that even surpasses that of the SSP-600.
