The 10.5 uses a 1.7-pound density foam for tube damping, rather than the earlier silicone/Teflon system. The new system is lighter and less resonant, and the new arms have a secondary mounting system at the end of the boomerang to stabilize them. A V-groove cut into the headshell allows the consumer to precisely level the cartridge azimuth using the supplied aluminum rod.
