Energy's act6 system is, along with Infinity's TSS-750 system, one of the two best surround systems I've yet heard in this price class. act6's particular strengths are deep and solid bass, warm and open midrange, clear treble that never sounds brittle, and smooth surround imaging. For around what you might spend on a mediocre Home-Theater-in-a-Box rig, the $800 act6 system offers a solution with credible, high-end sound that will satisfy beyond all proportion to its price.
