The Hitachi 50VS810 has elevated my opinion about LCD technology as a primary viewing device for serious movie watching, where nuances in color and light can make the difference in preserving the Directors' Art. Indeed, it is worthy enough that I wish they made a ''Monitor'' version, sans speakers, that would fit in more custom installation opportunities and be backed by real theater sound.
