The LG 3410A breaks new ground in HD set-top box functionality. It provides superb quality images and recordings. Its roughly 15-hour "real world" high-def record capability will satisfy many users. (This is about the same amount of time you get on a 40-hour TiVo, set to its highest quality setting.) The ability to archive onto D-VHS is unique. If you need an over-the-air tuner/PVR, I would suggest checking it out. If cable is your thing, you may want to consider a not-so-future product that will have a CableCARD for tuning both encrypted and unencrypted HD cable channels.
