The Screenplay's silver case is sleek, compact, and attractive. Upon power up, fan noise is unobtrusive. The remote is simple and intuitive, but not backlit. Its lens has manual zoom (1.89-2.63:1) and focus, and the throw is quite long. A 100" diagonal screen would require a throw distance of between 13.5 and 18.7 feet. Its Faroudja FLI2300 deinterlacer does a superb job processing interlaced video. There's no need for an external scaler or HTPC. The Faroudja chipset does a great job with lower-quality feeds, like VHS and CATV through the VCR.
