The Adcom GTP-880 is a sweetheart of a controller, and sweetheart of a deal. Despite its relatively modest price, it exudes quality and striking good looks. It's packed with a plethora of advanced, thoughtful features, many of which cannot be found on controllers anywhere near its price. Sonically, the GTP-880 gives up very little to its more expensive competitors, particularly when it comes to Dolby Digital and DTS processing. When the right mode is engaged, its sound is detailed, lively, and engaging, whether the source is film or music.
