The Reference Gen 2+ speaker cable was designed to render a more soft and smooth character to the music. Features: big and weighty on the bottom; throughout the upper midrange the 2+ pleasingly buffed off some of the edge and brightness that appear to be intrinsic to this otherwise excellent recording. With smooth, sweet strings, dynamic brass and percussion, and softened detail, the gestalt of an orchestra is nevertheless both pleasing and persuasive, especially with respect to center fill throughout the soundstage. On Bitter Ballads the 2+ projected much less atmosphere.
