Musical Surroundings Phonomena

Housed in a slim, silver or black-anodized case with a clear acrylic faceplate, the Phonomena easily takes the beauty prize, features and flexibility: American made, dual-mono, discrete transistor topology with Class A operation, the Phonomena has a 16-step adjustable gain from 40 to 60 dB, and 128 steps' worth of adjustable loading from 60 to 100k ohms. A small inconvenience: All switching is via DIPs inside the chassis. Priced at $600, the Phonomena is powered by a small wall transformer, the need for which is obviated with the acquisition of the BPS (another $600 and sized and styled to match the phono-section).
