Toshiba is making a comeback. Though it costs less than much of the competition, the 57HDX82 shows technical competence and a picture as sharp and compelling as any in its price range. While it doesn't unseat my reference Hitachi, it often looks just as good in side-by-side comparisons, and in most respects is a match for the Sony reviewed in Issue 46 of The Perfect Vision.
