The CAV-180 power amplifier is just as impressive, equally at home in a theater or a demanding high-end two-channel music system, which is where it spent most of its time in my digs. Applying five channels of audiophile-grade amplification to a multichannel theater system rewards the listener with non-fatiguing sound, improved detail resolution, a sense of spaciousness, and greater dynamic impact. Indeed, I never reached the CAV-180's power limitations, even when listening at high levels.
