Like a basic sports car stripped of everything but "go-fast" equipment, the $499 Denon 1803 proved to be a nimble and rewarding over-the-road performer. It's also the easiest to get up and running. Packing a solid 80W into six channels and equipped with adjustable crossovers (at 80Hz, 100Hz, and 120Hz), it's flexible enough to integrate with both small and large speaker systems.
This review is a survey of the Denon AVR-1803, the Rotel RSX-1055 and the Yamaha RX-V3300.
