The DCS replaced my Runco VHD processor (which also outputs 720p) in my video system. Though I couldn't wait to see the image quality with DVD movies played back from the DCS's internal DVD drive, from the start I saw excellent image quality from the DCS, even using an external DVD player as a source (especially Sony's DVP-NS999ES, which is hot). This was my first direct experience with what is essentially a Faroudja NRS, and I was very impressed.
