Besides the volume and phase controls, there is a video contour switch and a low-pass crossover frequency control. The former can be set for flat (which is where I left it) or in a position that essentially emulates THX equalization. The crossover control, which is the first that I have encountered that is continuously variable, adjusts the high end rolloff between 35-75 Hz in the subwoofer.
