The most salient aspect from the KAV is the hallmark of all Krell amplifiers: tight, extended, and dynamic bass. The bottom end had a muscularity, power, and visceral quality that served soundtracks and music equally well. Double basses in orchestral scores had tremendous body and weight, providing a strong tonal foundation for the rest of the orchestra.
