April 28 – Nvidia surreptitiously started shipping a new graphics card today, the GeForce 9600 GSO. 

Essentially this is a more budget-oriented version of their popular GeForce 9600 GT, reducing both the clock speed and memory.

The speed is downgraded to 550MHz in this 384MB card. The GeForce 9600 GT is 650 MHz with 512 MB of memory.

April 22 – D-Link has announced that they are now shipping their DPG-1200 PC-on-TV component. The MediaLounge PC-on-TV will connect to your TV through one of many possible connections such as VGA, component, or composite.

Your PC is then synced up with the device through a WiFi connection. At this point, you can access and view content streamed from the web directly on the TV. Photos can be viewed at a max resolution of 1024×768, while videos can be viewed at 640×480.

April 18 - In a recent report from the CEA, Consumer Electronics Association, they have detailed an interesting potential trend regarding how people will be spending the money from their economic stimulus package refunds.

According to the 1,005 people who were surveyed, 20% of them will be spending at least some portion of their refund checks on a consumer electronics product. Of those people intending to spend some of their money on consumer electronics, 53% will put it towards a computer, 39% are planning on putting towards a TV, and 23% towards a cellphone.
