I want to hear more on the Chinese high end AV systems/Receivers, particularly.
Have not read your above current issue but I am saving it for last, for it will be juicy. I read one last month whereby we learn that US manufactures receive the goods dirt cheap and then resell them to us, John Q xxxxxx, for five times what they’ve already paid for it. They are about as nasty as the politicans we elect. We need to find a stable way of purchasing direct from the manufacturer in China and eliminate these off the wall high end ….. Having spoken to a fellow at work, who by the way, left for China just the other day, he explained to me of the completely different mindset that the Chinese business folks harbor. It’s a complete about faced and I would speak of it to you hear but I myself would not be able to do it justice at this time. Very risky doing business solitarily with the Chinese. Specs can be way out of tolerance. He gave me an example of a fellow he knew who ordered lots of doors from a Chinese manufacturer and none fit properly. Maybe it’s just some sort of miscommunication. Years ago when Coke entered China, they used the slogan, “Coke is Life” or something such as, and when it converted into Chinese it came out as “May your Dead Ancestors Roll Over in their Graves”.
