Microsoft’s Zune gets a much needed sales boost

November 28 - It appears as if the under-appreciated Zune DAP from Microsoft has gotten a much needed shot in the arm in the sales department.
Audio Junkies is reporting that Amazon has the Zune as the #1 Best Seller in their Audio and Video Bestsellers list. While Microsoft has sold quite a few Zune’s, their sales have been trumped in the DAP arena by the outrageously successful iPod from Apple.
It must be encouraging for Microsoft to have the Zune selling well, even compared to the iPod. If the trend continues, this might open up a little more market competition in the arena of digital music/video download.
Of course it will have to continue for some time before we see any results, with well over 100 million iPods sold worldwide.
