LG to become the first to include Blu-ray 1.1 profile compatibility

October 26 – With the switch to the Blu-ray 1.1 format imminent, there has been a noticeable lack of 1.1 compliant discs.
In fact, there haven’t been any 1.1 profile compliant players at all.
Well, LG has announced that their recently announced 2nd-gen dual-format player, the LG BH200, is scheduled to be the first.
Although it seems odd that many of the companies that are highly invested in Blu-ray are not going to be the first to upgrade to the 1.1 profile players, LG does have a history of industry firsts. Check out the specs for LG’s BH200 dual-format player here.
