Rocky Mt 2007: Ushers displays their powerful Be-718 speakers

Two mini-monitors produced fabulous sound–the Usher Be-718 and the new MBL 121 Radial-Strahler.
The Usher’s punched way above their weight, as the boxing term has it.
How on earth they could fill up a large room with that much sound remains a mystery to me. The crescendos reached true fortissimo levels.
With the MBLs it less of a surprise–they seem to specialize in a powerful, dynamic sound, and United Home Audio’s demo was nothing less than riveting.
So powerful are the MBLs that they almost pin you to the wall. Read more from Rocky Mountain Audiofest 2007.

I heard the MBL 121 with the Jolida equipment at the RMAF and was amazed by the sound! Especially since they were using a $900 Jolida CD player, a $450 phono pre amp and a $200 Benz cartridge as the source. The 121 speakers just enveloped me in a huge dynamic soundstage, I must have a pair of radialstrahlers! The guys in the room Greg and Mike really know audio and music, was surprised I never heard of Dead can Dance. They were even giving out a free CD, nice. This was my favorite sound at the show especially at a realistic price us working guys can afford.
