Rocky Mt 2007: Apogee Acoustics Reborn

One of the best sounds at the show was produced by a loudspeaker made in 1986.
An Apogee Acoustics enthusiast named Richard Murry brought his lovingly rebuilt Duetta Signatures and produced a terrific sound with all Audio Research electronics (including their new hybrid power amplifier).
Richard is the U.S. representative of the newly incorporated Apogee Acoustics of Australia, which is going into full production of the classic Apogee designs using updated components.
The demo reminded just how great Apogees were in the day, and intrigued at what the newly reborn Apogee can achieve. Check out hundreds of in-depth speaker reviews here.

You’re using a wrong photo on your website. The photo you’re showing is of an Apogee ribbon/cone hybrid speaker, the Centaur.
The speaker at the 2007 RMAF was a Duetta Signature. Here’s a photo of the speaker that was shown at the show:
