CEDIA 2007: Pioneer’s New Kuro Plasma TVs
September 13th, 2007 — By Scott WilkinsonSeptember 12 - Pioneer Kuro update from our previous story: Just as it did at CES last January, Pioneer wowed the crowds at CEDIA with its new Kuro line of plasma TVs. The only difference was that the panels on display in Denver were actual shipping products, not early prototypes.
All eight models—including Pioneer- and Elite-branded 42- and 50-inchers with 1366×768 resolution as well as 50- and 60-inchers with 1920×1080 resolution—looked incredible, even on the brightly lit show floor, thanks to their unbelievably deep blacks, astounding contrast, and rich colors.
Prices range from $2700 to $7500, which ain’t bad when you consider these are, without doubt, the best plasmas in the world.

Will the Pioneer Elite 42 inch Kuro Plasama set (950) continue to be offered by Pioneer into the 2009 season and beyond?
Thank you.
