CEDIA 2007: B&W release some low-cost loudspeakers
September 7th, 2007 — By Charlie RobbSeptember 7 - Bowers & Wilkins, makers of highly praised high-end audio equipment, have decided to pepper their lineup with some new less-expensive loudspeakers.
It appears as if B&W has really toned down the price while still maintaining a semblence of the quality they are known for.
Although many of the details are still unknown, B&W’s official announcement says ” it delivers precisely the same kind of jaw-dropping sonic impact, timbral and dialog integrity, and sonic transparency as its larger siblings.”
Of course, this is not the case, but at least they seem confident in the quality of their lower-end speakers.
There will be three variations of the CT700 models, ranging in price from $600 to $1,500. They are slated for an October release.
