CEDIA 2007: Pioneer’s new Stereo System and Receiver
September 7th, 2007 — By Charlie RobbSeptember 7 - Pioneer has unveiled a new stereo system and receiver at CEDIA this year. The stereo system actually looks to be a fairly neat deal.
The Elite X-Z9 is a two speaker system with 50W per channel. The neat aspect comes in the form of the ability to play SACDs and the ability to stream content from your PC or iPod.
As a final touch, Pioneer has gold-plated all the speaker terminals for that extra sound quality. The Elite X-Z9 will be available in October for $1,799.
Pioneer is also coming out with a new AV receiver. The Elite SC-09-TX will be Pioneer’s flagship receiver and will boast some impressive features.
The SC-09-TX is built around a Direct Energy HD amplifier which can pump out 200W per channel over seven channels.
Support for all the expected high-quality audio formats is also included.
Another notable inclusion is a newer feature called THX Loudness Plus which maintains the purity of the sound at below reference volume levels.
The SC-09-TX will ship this winter for $7,000. More from CEDIA 07 here.
