September 6th, 2007 — By Charlie Robb
September 6 – Sony isn’t the only one jumping into the high-end projector game at CEDIA. It appears as if JVC is making a couple of very powerful projectors as well.
The DLA-HD100 and DLA-RS2 will reach a very noteworthy contrast ratio of 30,000:1 while maintaining full 1080p resolution.
Both models will employ a Gennum video processor whose power is being touted highly by JVC. Both models will cost around $8,000 and include peripherals that would suit that price bracket.
These being HDMI 1.3 ports, the capacity for 2.35:1 aspect ratios for cinema, and numerous peripherals for the projector.
Both the JVC DLA-HD100 and the JVC DLA-RS2 are currently slated for a November release at $8,000. Watch our Video of the JVC projector here
