EXO is almost ready to ship PC gaming behemoths
June 25th, 2007 — By Charlie Robb
June 25 - EXO, a new company dedicated to make the most excessively fast gaming machines in the world, says that they will start selling their PCs in about 8 weeks.
Former Alienware PC designer Garret Bain left his former berth to start EXO, and from all appearances he has created a quality boutique PC making shop.
The new EXO systems will have the typical high end gaming machine features such asĀ a quad core option, ridiculous amounts of RAM, and tons of overclocked parts, but there are two ways in which EXO is differentiating itself.
The first is that they have taken a new approach to the PC case, which is very important to many of the gaming community with too much disposable income. In fact, you can tailor your PC to have any housing you want, including things like diamond-encrusted metal or bamboo. The buyer has complete creative control.
The second differentiating factor is that they have set up an exclusive deal with NVIDIA to receive the top 1% of their graphics cards. That means that any card in an EXO machine is guaranteed to be the best out there.
Among a couple of other cool features is the fact that each PC is handmade by one technician and that they ship in a large steel suitcase for transport. These EXO branded PCs will be available in 8 weeks; however, the price is only availableĀ upon request so it is most assuredly incredibly expensive. Read more here.
