[CES 07] Jamo Speakers Aim to Offer Great Sound for Price
January 12th, 2007 — By Chris MartensAn affordable Scandinavian

Danish speaker manufacturer Jamo (pronounced “ya-mow”) offers its new C 60-series speakers as proof that Scandinavian speakers can at once be affordable and yet “perform far above their price points.”
There are eight models in the C 60 line in all, but the two shown here are the 3-way, four-driver C 607 ($798/pair) and the 2 1/2-way, three driver C605 floorstanders ($598/pair).
All C60 models use Jamo’s silk-dome tweeters featuring Decoupled Tweeter Technology (DTT) for better high frequency reproduction and weeter mounting flanges that double as waveguide for more even sound dispersion. The C60s also feature Jamo’s Hard Conicial woofer diaphragms whose distinctive cones do not “suffer audible breakup at working frequencies.” Finally, all floorstanding C 60 models cabinent stabilization spikes designed to anchor the speakers firmly to the floor.
The final proof will come in the listening, but judging by looks alone C 60’s appear more expensive than they are.
