[CES 07] Esoteric Introduces Lower-Cost CD/SACD Player
January 11th, 2007 — By Robert HarleyBest technology brought down to near entry-level

Esoteric, known for their rather expensive upper-end digital source products, introduced at this show several new products including the SA-10, their most affordable disc player yet. Although $3500 isn’t entry-level, the SA-10 nonetheless brings many Esoteric technologies to a lower price point. The most important of these is Esoteric’s transport mechanism, in this case a newly developed transport called Vertically Aligned Optical Stability Platform (VOSP), first used in the company’s SA-60 disc player.
The SA-10 plays stereo CD and SACD, and features cut aluminum front and side panels. Availability is March, 2007.
