[CEDIA 06] Yamaha Brings PC-Integration to Mid-Class AVR

Yamaha’s RX-V2700 AV receiver features an Ethernet connection, enabling consumers to access Internet radio stations, music files stored on a PC, and connect with Yamaha’s MusicCAST audio server (the MCX-2000). The unit also includes HDMI upconversion with scaling to 1080p output, realized with the high-performance Anchor Bay Technology’s ABT1010 video scaling chip. The RX-V2700, along with the RX-V1700, are XM-Radio compatible and can connect to an iPod via Yamaha’s optional docking station. The RX-V2700 has an MSRP of $1600 and delivers 140Wx7; the RX-V1700 ($1299) offers 130Wx7.
