In addition to their XV-Z20000 1080p DLP projector ($12,000, shipping October), Sharp introduced three new LCD flat panels in the D62 line at 42″ ($2499), 46″ ($3499), and 52″ ($4799). All are 1920×1080 with dual HDMI inputs. The LC-42D62U has a response time of 6ms, while the other two boast a 4ms response time. The larger two will be manufactured in Sharp’s newest factory in Kameyama, Japan, which is among the most eco-conscious in the world, with huge solar panels, extensive fuel cells, and an energy-recycling capacity of 30 percent, all of which reduces the carbon dioxide emissions by 40 percent.
