Samsung’s 95 series of 1080p LCD flat panels includes the 40″ LN-S4095D ($3499) and 46″ LN-S4695D ($4299). Both exhibit a wide color gamut that encompasses 92 percent of the NTSC spec thanks to an improved backlight, and the dynamic contrast ratio is claimed to be 6000:1. The step-up 96 series (not shown) adds a 52″ model ($5499) to the 46″ and 40″ sizes ($4599 and $3799, respectively), and all include IEEE1394 and USB ports as well as CableCARD slots. Also in the 96 series is a 32″ 720p panel ($2299).
