Another entry in the low-cost 1080p DLP projector sweepstakes comes from BenQ. The W10000 will list for $8999 and include full ISF certification; in fact, it will have everything ISF president Joel Silver wants. Even in its prototype form, it produced a fabulous image in BenQ’s hotel suite. By the time it ships in November, it will also have an optional Panamorph anamorphic lens with motorized sled for an additional $5000, which is very inexpensive for such a thing. Along with the projector’s internal processor, the anamorphic lens will allow the W10000 to display 2.35:1 content with full resolution.
