[CEDIA 06] Tannoy Expands Arena Speaker Line to Complement Flat Panel TVs

Tannoy has won accolades from the press, including The Perfect Vision and The Absolute Sound, for its Arena line of speakers. Building on is stellar reputation with these speakers, Tannoy has expanded its lineup to include speakers suited for use with ever popular wall-mounted flat-panel televisons. The Highline 500 series, being showcased at booth 280 here at CEDIA,
Tannoy wanted to preserve the acoustic integrity of its Arena line, which is famous for its dual-concentric drive units. The Highline 500 is based on a 4-inch version of these units, combining a multi-fiber paper pulp LF cone and titanium domed HF unit with a neodymium magnet system.
These are D’Appolito configurations, with the high frequency unit mounted between two midrange drivers, providing a wider coverage area. The line includes tower speakers for L/R, a center channel, and rear satellites.
